Long synopsis

Life is Long is a moving story that shows how the mind and the body don't travel at the same pace. Above all, it's a deeply personal document of life as a twentysomething and the transformative power of newfound independence.

After finding many different home-like places on her travels, a young woman returns to her actual home with a very profound feeling of unheimischness. It feels like she's far from where she wants to be and most of all, she’s not quite sure who she is in her old world, or where she will be going.

While she doesn't quite end up with all the answers, a ride with her uber driver makes her realize that being where she is is good enough for now. As the day unfolds, her old friends and a glowing summer evening offer enough distraction for the absence of answers to turn into the absence of worry.

As a result, she comes to find that it's OK to not have everything figured out. As long as her feet still touch the earth, it doesn't make a difference whether she's here or there.

Life is Long offers a glimmer of careful optimism for travellers who have trouble finding their way back home. One day, you might just manage to hold on to a far away thing that will keep you forever changed.
